The oldest active FIFA Referee: Toledo (USA)

Born in 1970, Baldomero Toledo (USA, photo) is currently the oldest active FIFA referee. He is the only 47-year-old referee on the 2017 international list. There are also eight 46-year-old referees: Bryan Willett (ATG), Diego Abal (ARG), Ali Alsamaheeji (BHR), Martin Atkinson (ENG), Andre Marriner (ENG), Nicola Rizzoli (ITA), Nelson Sogo (SOL), Stefan Johannesson (SWE).
On the Assistant Referees List there are four FIFA ARs born in 1970: Martin Wilczek (CZE), Ayman Degaish (EGY), Bakhadyr Kochkarov (KGZ), Jean Djaonirina (MAD) and 11 assistant referees born in 1971: Sean Thompson (BAH), Hugush Mohammed (ERI), Angesom Ogbamariam (ERI), Hannes Reinvald (EST), Belachew Yetayew (ETH), Toshiyuki Nagi (JPN), Yousef Aljararwah (JOR), Faisal Shwair (JOR), Marvin Torrentera (MEX), Konrad Sapela (POL), Josephat Bulali (TAN). The most experienced assistant referee on the current list is Martin Balko (SVK, 45), who has been on the FIFA AR List for almost 20 years (since 1998).
There are two referees older than 45, Elchin Samadli (AZE), Barry Weijers (NED), on the Futsal List and only one, Libor Kastanek (CZE), on the Beach Soccer List.
On the other hand, four women match officials pre-selected for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup are no longer on the FIFA Lists: referee Margaret Domka (USA) and assistant referees Marie-Josee Charbonneau (CAN), Suzanne Morisset (CAN), Marina Wozniak (GER).
Finally, Kosovo, as a new FIFA member, will start with one referee, two assistant referees, one woman referee and two futsal referees.
